Electric/Robotic cleaners are an excellent choice for commercial and residential pool owners who want a self-contained, efficient, and fast automatic pool cleaner that runs independent of the pool's filtration system and has no hoses. The Polaris 9300 Sport is our best selling Robotic Cleaner.

Pressure-side cleaners are powered by the pressure of a separate booster pump, like the Polaris PB4-60. These cleaners require special plumbing and cost more to operate, but are nonetheless very effective. Pressure-side cleaners sweep dirt causing the dirt to suspend in the water so that it can be filtered. Most pressure-side cleaners require the use of a separate booster pump, like the Polaris PB4-60 to propel the cleaner. The Polaris 280 is our best selling Pressure-Side cleaner. We also recommend the new Polaris 3900 Sport cleaner.

Suction-side cleaners are the most common cleaner. These cleaners vacuum debris off the floor and do a good job of cleaning the walls. They are powered by the suction of the circulation pump by connecting the cleaner hose to either the skimmer or dedicated wall port. Suction-side cleaners cost the least and require the least amount of maintenance. There are two types of suction-side cleaners - gear driven cleaners like the Zodiac MX-8, and those with a single-moving part, like the new Zodiac Barracuda G-2. The gear-driven cleaners are designed to systematically clean the pool and avoid getting stuck on drains or sharp corners. Single-moving part cleaners are the least expensive to maintain and randomly traverse the pool (quite effectively). The Zodiac G-2 and Zodiac MX-8 are our best selling suction-side pool cleaners.
