The best way to accurately and quickly test the salinity of your pool water is to use a digital reader. Every saltwater pool owner should have one of these units. Often times salt water chlorinators will give you an incorrect salt reading due to a board error or a dirty cell. Often times pool owners will add salt without double checking first which usually results in an over-salted pool that requires draining.
